(Yicai Global) Oct. 14 -- Boston-based Berklee College of Music will exclusively join hands with Chinese bridge maker and education provider Kaiwen Education Technology to offer pop music courses for young students in China.

The pair will provide five music courses at Kaiwen's education center in China's capital city during public schools' summer and winter holidays, the Beijing-based firm said in a statement today, without disclosing financial details.

Kaiwen will become the US college's only K-12 partner in China with the right to use the latter's logo till the end of 2023. The two education providers will jointly design the courses that include music theater and production to improve students' future education opportunities.

The Chinese firm will invite Berklee College of Music's alumni and professors to come to China and perform, it added.

Kaiwen's stock price [SHE:002659] fell 2.8 percent to CNY6.01 (US 89 cents) this afternoon.
