(Yicai Global) Jan. 14 -- China's stock markets opened lower this morning and are holding to their downward trajectory.
The Shanghai Composite Index started 0.02 percent lower at 2,553.33 points. The Shenzhen Component Index kicked off at 7,473.88 points, the same as its close on Jan. 11. The Growth Enterprise Index, also in Shenzhen, opened 0.12 percent lower at 1,263.02 points.
The coal-mining sector led the gainers -- up about 3 percent -- in lockstep with rising coal futures contracts.
