(Yicai Global) June 15 -- The China Science and Technology Museum has begun hosting a three-year exhibition in the capital of Myanmar, previously known as Burma, as it looks to spread knowledge to countries along the Belt and Road.

Over 60 exhibits went on display in Naypyidaw yesterday, covering 800 square meters and integrating a broad range of sciences with modern technologies, such as 3D printing and robotics. There is also a dome-screen cinema which will show films and television shows based on aerospace and dinosaurs.

The mobile museum plans to run a similar project in Cambodia starting in October, and also has a Laos tour in the pipeline, according to state-owned news agency Xinhua.

The museum hopes to boost science and technological knowledge throughout countries along China's Belt and Road Initiative, a 30- to 40-year plan for trade and infrastructure networks covering rails, roads, ports and pipes in Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.

The China Association for Science and Technology spent years developing the mobile museum and began touring it in June 2010. It has already sent 364 exhibits to 31 domestic provinces, cities and districts and began its Belt and Road expedition in October 2017.
