China's AG60E Electric Plane Clocks 220 Kph in Maiden Flight(Yicai) Jan. 8 -- The AG60E, an electric aircraft developed by a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, has completed its maiden flight last week.
The AG60E, an electric version of the AG60 light sport aircraft, can take off and land on non-paved runways and is suitable for pilot training, competitions, and recreational flights, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission announced on Weibo recently.
The plan is the electrification modification version of AG60, the original two-seat plane was first unveiled to the public at the 13th Airshow China in 2021. Its maximum takeoff weight is 600 kilograms, and the maximum cruising speed is 185 km per hour.
