China's Shiji to Provide Hotel PMS for MGM's Luxury Resorts in Macao China's Shiji to Provide Hotel PMS for MGM's Luxury Resorts in Macao

(Yicai) Aug. 14 -- Shiji Information Technology, a Chinese software developer for hospitality and catering firms, said it has penned a deal with MGM Grand Paradise for the premium resorts operator to use its next-generation hotel property management system in Macao.

The MGM Macau and MGM Cotai resorts will use Shiji's Daylight Property Management System, the Beijing-based company announced late yesterday, citing an agreement it inked with MGM on Aug. 12.

Given that large integrated resorts have high tourist flow and many guest rooms, they have high requirements for the functionality, stability, and data security of the PMS, Shiji noted. The deal is expected to bring long-term and substantial financial benefits and positively affect the company's brand, it added, without disclosing further details.

In April last year, Shiji secured a service order from another leading resort operator, Melco Resorts & Entertainment. In addition, it became the preferred PMS provider of Marriott International Management Services' directly managed and franchised hotels in China under a software-as-a-service partnership model in June.

MGM Grand Paradise is owned by MGM China Holdings, which is under MGM Resorts International.

Shares of Shiji [SHE: 002153] closed up 1.1 percent at CNY10.47 (USD1.46) apiece today, after surging by as much as 5.6 percent in the morning trading session. The broader Shenzhen market fell 0.9 percent.
