(Yicai Global) Oct. 3 -- Chinese spending on domestic tourism has surged more than 10 percent annually in the first two days of the country's National Day holiday, data from China National Tourism Administration show.
Revenues based on domestic tourism amounted to USD14.5 billion (CNY96.5 billion) on Oct. 1, Chinese National Day, representing a 12.2 percent increase compared to the same day last year, while domestic tourist numbers rose 10.5 percent to 113 million.
Spending related to tourism increased 10.9 percent annually to USD14.20 billion (CNY93.7 billion) on Oct. 2, with the number of domestic tourists up 9.9 percent on that day.
