(Yicai Global) May 27 -- China's mainland stock markets continued to fall in the afternoon as investors sought to cash in on short-term gains from yesterday’s rally, with the Covid-19 pandemic still hampering confidence.
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.34 percent at 2,836.80 at the close, while the Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.23 percent to 10,682.70. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, fared worse, sliding 1.96 percent to 2,071.47.
