China's Stock Markets Open Mixed After Two Days of Gains

(Yicai Global) Feb. 6 -- Chinese stock markets started today mixed after many investors looked to capitalize on two days of solid gains following a near 9 percent tumble at the start of the week, when markets re-opened following an extended holiday resulting from the novel coronavirus epidemic.

The Shanghai Composite Index started at 2,826.89, up 0.31 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.01 higher percent at 10,306.12. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, fell 0.24 percent to 1,934.98.
