(Yicai Global) Aug. 8 -- China's biggest ride-hailing platform Didi Chuxing has penned a deal to provide car services for guests at Wanda Hotels and Resorts.

Users will be able to access Didi's cars via Wanda's WeChat account, Didi announced at a press briefing yesterday. The pair will then look to offer packages including hotel rooms and chauffeurs or luxury cars.

The two firms will link their membership systems so users of each can enjoy more value-added services, Wanda Hotels' President Ning Qifeng said. His company has 85 hotels in operation and more than 100 under construction in over 100 cities worldwide.

The pair will no doubt be hoping their venture is more successful than the similar effort made by Didi rival Yidao Yongche and online travel agency Ctrip in 2013. The partnership fell to pieces after Yidao's controlling shareholder LeEco -- led by infamous entrepreneur Jia Yueting -- spiraled into financial crisis despite a USD150 million injection from Ctrip.

Didi, whose high-end Premier and Luxe services make 20,000 daily trips starting from Wanda hotels, will also set up Didi Stations at the firm's accommodations to improve the travel experience for guests, and will put up a dynamic display to show travel times from the hotel to airports, train stations, business districts and tourist attractions.
