(Yicai Global) Nov. 27 -- Local education authorities in China have conducted inspections of kindergartens and asked facilities to make regular filings of surveillance videos to facilitate future checks, in response to the recent cases of child abuse case in kindergartens, the official media China Central Television (CCTV) reported.

Areas of inspections include monitoring facilities, sanitation and healthcare, electrical safety, kindergartens and teachers' qualifications.

Some local governments have also established and improved accountability mechanisms and those involved in child abuse will be punished. The establishment of a regular supervision mechanism for the operation of kindergartens is to ensure the healthy development of kindergartens to avoid such cases in the future. In addition, a mental health monitoring system for teachers has been set up.
