(Yicai Global) Dec. 13 - JD Daojia, China's leading omnichannel e-commerce platform, and Watsons have inked a cooperation agreement allowing online sales of products from Asia's largest health and beauty retailer from 1,200 stores covering 48 cities across the country.

Watsons' online daily sales have increased three-fold since the cooperation started trial operations two months ago, the Beijing-based e-tailer said in a statement. Products are also available for home delivery within one-hour via the Dada JD Daojia service.

JD Daojia aims to help merchants better understand consumers and provide technical means for them to realize digitalization, the statement said, adding that collaboration is considered a major breakthrough for Watsons in its expansion strategy.
