(Yicai Global) June 30 -- Mercedes-Benz has issued its 11th recall of vehicles in China so far this year.

The German auto giant’s Chinese affiliates are calling in 670,000 sedans, starting from Dec. 18, due to the risk of engine oil leakage, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation said on its website yesterday.

Mercedes-Benz China Automobile Sales will recall 35,900 imported Mercedes-Benz C-Class, SLC-Class, CLS-Class, E-Class, and GLC SUV cars. Beijing Benz Automobile and Fujian Benz Automobile will recall 620,369 vehicles and 12,685 cars produced in China.

The carmaker has recalled more than 710,000 vehicles in China this year due to glitches in seat belt buckles, shock absorbers, airbags, brakes, door locks, and oil leaks. It recalled 1.45 million in the country last year, becoming the most recalled car brand of 2019.
