(Yicai Global) May 13 -- Mercedes Benz has increased its vehicle sales in China 2.2 percent from January to April, marking a new record amid a slowdown in its sales worldwide.

Mercedes Benz sold 232,050 units in China during the four months. The Stuttgart-based luxury car firm's global sales fell 5.6 percent to a bit more than 742,800 vehicles during the same time period.
