(Yicai Global) Feb. 25 -- Oppo Electronics showed off the Chinese firm's first fifth-generation wireless technology handset at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, with a release set for April.
The smartphone features Qualcomm's SnapdragonTM 855 chip system and 10-times hybrid optical zoom technology allowing full focal-length coverage through a "super wide-angle plus ultra-clear main and long telephoto" based on three cameras, the Shenzhen-based firm said in a statement.
Oppo will work with major global carriers Swisscom, Singapore Telecommunications, Telstra and Singtel Optus for the release covering Europe, Oceania and Asia.
The company has developed technology capable of achieving 5G-based WeChat multi-party video call.
