(Yicai Global) Nov. 6 -- Toyota Motor China Investment and three Chinese joint ventures today announced the recall of more than 400,000 vehicles because of problems with fuel pump parts that could cause the cars to stall
The brands involved in the recall include Lexus, Crown, Skoda, Prado and Camry, according to a statement issued by the Chinese market regulator today
Of these, a total of 187,000 Camry models produced by GAC Toyota Motor between April 2018 and May last year will be called in.
Quality problems in the supplier’s low-pressure fuel pump parts in some vehicles may lead to poor operation of the pumps. In extreme cases, the vehicle may not start normally or the engine may stall, posing safety risks, Toyota said
