The 16-day Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday railway travel rush has officially kicked off today. The Yangtze River Delta region expects to handle 54 million passenger trips between today and Oct. 8, with the peak daily passenger volume likely to hit a record of 4.4 million on Oct. 1.
