(Yicai Global) Feb.26 --Authorities in China had arrested more than 1,560 criminals for selling fake masks and other protective equipment as of Feb. 24, according to the Vice Minister of Public Security.

The crooks had made CNY174 million (USD24.7 million) from the sales, Du Weihang said. Police have investigated 22,000 cases and detained 4,260 people for offences involving Covid-19 since it broke out in Wuhan.
