(Yicai Global) Oct. 28 -- China's daily express delivery volume is expected to reach 490 million parcels during Double 11, an annual shopping festival, according to the State Post Bureau.

Courier firms are predicted to remain busy from early November till February's Spring Festival, Bian Zuodong, deputy director of a market supervision department at the government agency, said at a press conference today.

Logistics companies have added 490,000 temporary workers, 100,000 vehicles, and 5.4 million square meters of storage space to increase their capacity during the shopping festival that is principally held on Nov. 11-16.
